As a trainer and breeder, it should be encouraging to work some of your own progeny. Dotty is a product of our own breeding success (Hank x Izzy, Spring 2009) born, raised, and trained right here in our kennel. She has given me a glimpse at what our own dogs are capable of producing. We here at L.B. Gundogs strive for the breeders ABC's; qualities that are possessed by outstanding hunting companions.These qualities are natural ability, brains, conformation, and desire. Possessing these traits not only makes it easier to train a hunting dog, but also produces a healthy, and stable animal that is easy to get along with. At an extremely young age Dotty has shown her promise and skill in the field, as well as at home. She is a loving, biddable, ground covering, bird terrorist with an equally expressive attitude. Quitting is not in her vocabulary, and she has shown that when called upon she can hang with the big boy's. Look for her to be clearing a field of all creatures great or small near you.
